Words can kill. It’s estimated that 500,000 teenagers try to kill themselves every year, and about 5,000 succeed. Not all of those deaths are due to bullying. But a large portion of it is. When you get bullied, those words, those names people call you, get stuck in your brain forever. & After you get called a name enough times, you start to convince yourself it’s true. Bullying is everywhere. At school, on the computer, on your phone. It follows us everywhere. 43% of teens are or have been a victim of cyberbullying. It hurts. The words and names people call you, hurt. People are quick to judge for many reasons. How someone looks, dresses, or from what they heard. Here’s the thing, too many people judge people from what they’ve heard, not what they see the actual person doing. People make up crazy rumors about people all the time. Bullies don’t realize how much they are hurting a person when they call them names or start rumors. They think it’s nothing. Being a victim of bullying for four years now, it starts to get to you. The comments people say ‘Nobody likes you’, ‘Why aren’t you dead yet?’, ‘You’re worthless’ really get to people. They start to believe that no one likes them, that they are worthless & why are they still alive? People kill themselves because bullying gets to be too much & they think the world would be a better place without them. That’s not true. No one does anything to stop bulling & we need to stop it. To save lives. & To end the hurt.
Reblog if you’re against bullying.
